Man charged with DUI and manslaughter after pedestrian's death

Residents of Oklahoma may be interested to learn that a 44-year-old man has been taken into custody in Tulsa following investigation of an auto-pedestrian accident in late December 2013. That incident led to the death of a 74-year-old man who had previously been a Tulsa mayor candidate twice in the 1980s. According to the assistant district attorney for Tulsa County, the state waited until it had received the results of the man's blood testing before pursuing the drunk driving case against the defendant.

3 Doors Down bassist facing second DUI charge

Oklahoma music lovers may be interested to learn that Todd Harrell, the bassist for the band 3 Doors Down, was taken into custody on Feb. 18 on a DUI charge. According to the report, the incident occurred in Mississippi when a witness reportedly observed an impaired driver. When the authorities arrived, they allegedly found Harrell in the driver's seat, slumped over his steering wheel.

Chris Kattan taken into custody for DUI

Most people in Kansas are familiar with the antics of Chris Kattan. However, Kattan starred in a skit on Feb. 10 that he probably wishes he wasn't involved in. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI after he crashed his Mercedes-Benz into a Department of Transportation truck on 101 Freeway in California after driving through a construction zone. Officers responded to the scene after a woman called 911 to report a driving weaving on the road and driving slowly.

Oklahoma man with two minors in vehicle charged with DUI

Oklahoma City police recently took a 28-year-old man into custody on suspicion of drunk driving after receiving a call about an erratic driver. In addition to being charged with DUI, the man has been accused of child endangerment. The child endangerment charge was brought after police say that they found two children in the front seat of the man's vehicle.
