Wreck in Oklahoma caused by wrong-way driver

A 25-year-old woman was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when she drove the wrong way on Interstate 244 in Tulsa on June 24. She was driving west in the eastbound lane of the highway when her Honda collided head on with a Ford SUV around 11 p.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said the woman told them she had taken Xanax with rum that day.

Man facing DUI charge after being saved by officer

Approximately ten miles north of Norman, Oklahoma, an alleged drunk driver was pulled from a ravine by a Moore police officer around 1:30 a.m. on June 18. When the officer arrived at the scene on Southwest 34th Street, the 40-year-old man had escaped from his wrecked, burning vehicle but had fallen into the ravine. The man was then dragged to safety by the officer for about 30 yards into a nearby field.

Oklahoma City accident results in DUI complaint

Oklahoma City Police took a driver into custody on suspicion of DUI after a pickup truck collided with the rear of a semi-truck early on June 9. Police report that the truck was moving south on the Broadway Extension service road when the accident occurred. Near the intersection of Kelley Avenue and 122nd Street, the pickup truck slammed into the back of a parked semi-truck.

Oklahoma woman charged with DUI, child endangerment

A 26-year-old Oklahoma City woman was taken into custody on June 1 on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a minor and driving under the influence of alcohol. Police say she was also involved in a hit-and-run accident while driving drunk with a child in her vehicle. The woman has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, child endangerment and DUI.

Man takes out mailbox, runs into house in alleged DUI

Oklahoma police report that a man was detained on suspicion of DUI after crashing into a Duncan house in the early hours of June 2. After running a stop sign, the 24-year-old driver's SUV allegedly struck a Chisholm Corner convenience store safety barrier and a mailbox before crashing into a home on North B Street around 3:15 a.m. The driver reported suffering no injuries.
