A routine traffic stop has resulted in charges of driving under the influence and child endangerment for a 26-year-old Oklahoma City man. The incident took place on the morning of March 13 on SE 19th Street. After being taken into custody, the man was transported to an area detention facility.

Police say a 29-year-old man admitted to consuming three or four beers at a bowling alley in Tulsa before causing a crash on Jan. 29. The accident took place while the man was driving north on Highway 169 around 9:45 p.m. According to a witness, the man drove his sedan past an SUV and then slammed on the brakes.

A man in Oklahoma is facing multiple charges, including drunk driving and child endangerment, following a traffic stop that occurred over the first weekend of December 2014. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, a 13-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl were passengers in a vehicle operated by their 43-year-old father when the man was pulled over for undisclosed reasons. During the incident, police found open alcoholic beverage containers inside the vehicle.

Oklahoma man admits to crashing into statue

Police say that a man drove his vehicle into and damaged a statue of the Ten Commandments on Oct. 23 in Oklahoma City. According to authorities, the man claimed to be a Satanist and made claims that Satan forced the man to commit the action. The defendant also reportedly urinated on the monument, which was erected in 2012 and costed over $10,000, and made defamatory comments about the president to authorities.

Penalties for impaired driving

Oklahoma has passed specific legislation that addresses a person's ability to operate a motor vehicle if they are under the influence of alcohol or another substance that impairs their ability to drive. Penalties for a conviction for impaired driving could range from $100 to $500 and could include a maximum of six months in custody.
